The Bourne Memorial Window at Faith Chapel

"David's Window" by Louis Comfort Tiffany

Faith Chapel is a historic chapel on Jekyll Island, Georgia.  Built in 1904, it was used as a non-denominational chapel until 1942.

Frederick Gilbert Bourne, President of Singer Sewing Machine Company and Jekyll Island Club, died on March 19, 1919.  Following Bourne’s passing, a Tiffany stained glass window was commissioned for Faith Chapel to replace the existing west-facing window.  On March 25, 1921, the Bourne Memorial Window by Tiffany was installed at Faith Chapel. The following day, an announcement was published in the New York Times.
