The 2019 Ford Mustang BULLITT and Steve McQueen. |
Mustang fans are very
familiar with the American movie "BULLITT," specifically the iconic
San Francisco car chase. To celebrate the 50th anniversary of the movie, the
new limited-edition 2019 Ford Mustang BULLITT now rumbles in cities around the
world.
I recently had the
opportunity to experience the 2019 Ford Mustang BULLITT. MP024 (Manufacturer's
Prototype number 24) ... we became best friends for two weeks. I loved
the 5.0L V8 engine that delivered 480 horsepower, 420 lb.-ft. of
torque and my ability to go from 0-60 in 4.3 seconds. I did that more
than once, y'all! I also loved the fact that manual 6-speed is the
ONLY transmission offered, and the gear shifter features a cue ball shift knob;
a nod to the original. My driving experience was enhanced by the
stellar Bang & Olufsen sound system.
Below is a summary of my
adventures - movie themed in some cases - in fifty photographs. Details about
the 2019 Ford Mustang BULLITT follow.

The 2019 Ford Mustang BULLITT
salutes the 1968 movie car with understated appearance. Exterior
color choices are Shadow Black and the classic Dark Highland Green which was
the color of the original Mustang used in the movie. Other features that pay
tribute to the car Steve McQueen drove are subtle chrome accents on the outer
edge of the wheels, grille and windows. Inside and out, the vehicle uses
minimal badging; only the circular faux gas cap BULLITT logo on the rear center
is visible on the exterior. The 2019 model is the third generation of the
Mustang BULLITT. Previous versions were sold in 2001 and 2008.
The Mustang BULLITT shares the same
standard equipment as the Mustang GT Premium and the GT Performance Package.
Active valve performance exhaust system is standard with new Black NitroPlate™
exhaust tips, and it is retuned to give the car a signature burble, as well as
new Open Air Induction System and Shelby GT350 intake manifold with 87mm
throttle bodies and powertrain control module calibration for optimal
performance. Also standard is a 12-inch LCD digital instrument cluster with a
unique Mustang BULLITT welcome screen.
Special thanks to Rhonda Belluso
Bambrick, Ford Motor Company and Jennifer Harper, Performance Logistics, Inc.
for the 2019 Ford Mustang BULLITT.
My sincerest appreciation to all who

Protection Specialist, Blessed Acres Farm, and the president and CEO of the
