Earlier this month, Ford CEO Jim Farley was joined by other Ford executives and Kentucky officials at Louisville Assembly Plant to introduce the new Ford Universal EV Production System and EV Platform. I had the pleasure of livestreaming the event.

- Ford
Universal EV Production System will simplify
production and ease operations for the people in it.
- Ford Universal Electric Vehicle Platform will enable a family of affordable vehicles produced at scale – this time, electric and truly software-defined, with over-the-air updates that will keep improving the vehicle over time.

The result: a simple, efficient, flexible platform to deliver a family of affordable, electric, software-defined vehicles — the first of which is a midsize, four-door electric pickup assembled in America at the Louisville Assembly Plant starting in 2027. Ford is investing approximately $5 billion and creating or securing nearly 4,000 jobs across two U.S. plants for the truck and LFP batteries that will power it.
Never underestimate the power of LinkedIn.
